Hmmmm, that is tough on everyone.
How attached were they?
I can honestly say when I was young I had tons of cats, and loved everyone of them. We also lived along a very busy State Route, so you can imagine what happened alot! I guess it depends on your kids, are they ready for it, by their ages I would say they are. When I wasn't ready, it was always, " well they must have ran away" then after a few years of that, I got hip to that.. I do believe it is a good life lesson for children, about dealing with death. I would say they are ready.. are you is the question?
( That's probably the hardest part)
