she is nursing the pups and they are gaining weight. she has not thrown up since the vet this afternoon. only one episode of diarrhea since then. she vomitted 4 times today and 4 diarrheas, last one right after the vet. She ate a half a porkchop that i cooked for me since my post but really is not interested in fluids. I am offering fluids every 1-2 hrs and am at the point I am considering syringe feeding the fluids...pumpkin? Have you ever had a yorkiw who had vomiting and diarrhea after childbirth with no appetite. I know the afterbirth can cause it, but this is ridiculous. It was worse yesterday. She still acts normal other wise. her temp is 101.9 and not elevated.
I'm wondering if this is a normal complication and how long it lasts. |
