I can see the sellers point in asking what she is. First of all, she probably put out quite a bit to get the dog in the first place. She's put in quite a bit in vetting him, too.

But most of all, she wants to make sure he's going to end up in a good home. If she offered him for $100, everyone would be coming out of the wood work. She needs to know that who ever takes him is going to have the cash flow to keep him properly cared for.

In the end, only you can know whether Marco is the companion for you and Jackson.
