We have had the same problem in my neighborhood. My neighbor owns a bloodhound named Buster. He is not a mean dog. Really sweet, but he is big. And he roams around the neighborhood as he pleases with no leash. And poops in everyones yard. We called to the neighbors and complained plenty of times. Finally they got Buster in a fenced in yard. But, sometimes he still manages to sneak out. One day my dad let Lacey by accident. He did not close the door fast enough and Lacey darted out. She was really fast and she LOVED to go outside with a passion. And Buster happened to be in our yard at the exact same time. My mom and I had just about had a heart attack seing such a huge dog next to our little bitty 4-pound yorkie. Lacey used to be terrified of other dogs even other yorkies. But, she and Buster were sniffing each other and she showed no fear at all. Luckily, Buster never tried to hurt her, but we were scared to death. My mom also thought she may try to run off with him, so that had her worried as well. She just calmly said come here Lacey and she stayed. So, she just scooped her up and brought her back in the house. But, we really had a scare that day. |
