Ziva was just over 1 year before she seemed to be able to hold it long enough to ask to go out and than get there in time. Before that she was 100% reliable on the newspaper(we didn't use pads)in two places in the house (the house is long and kind of split in 2)I did take away all door mats (we have all tile floors)and put them on the outside,closed off all bedrooms and baths. It took a couple of weeks of transition because we had spent so long with available newspaper in the house she kept running for those two spots and didn't leave herself enough time to go to the door.She is very independent and did not like to have to ask to go.At one point I didn't think it was going to happen- hang in there! |
