Smile hello

Greetings to you Amber!

First, you have an advantage and that's her age: once the puppy reaches 6 months, her/his bladder is bigger and don't have to pee as often + they have more control + can hold it.

Now, if you're considering using a crate to put her while not home, remember that no dog should be confined in a crate for more that 3hrs. It's just not right.

You have to rush training. I think it would be easier if you complement by teaching to pee on the pads AND outside.
- first, don't give her a chance to pee inside. Take her out 15 min after eating/drinking, waking up, and immediately after playing hard.
- price her for pee outside.
- place pee pads everywhere she usually walks throughout- I used 3 in different points where it was easily visible from distance.
You can use pheromone sprays on the pad & let her smell it.
- when she has an accident, take her immediately to the pad no matter if she doesn't pee more.

I think It's better if you restrain the areas to just a small space...

My case: I was having a hard time. I trained my pup to pee outside & on a litter box inside.
I decided to let him sleep in a separate small room (laundry room) : no carpet, just his bed, water/food, and his litter box 2 feet away. He does great!

Hope this helps!
