I finally ended up with an Oreck that I love. Plus it has a 10 year warranty. I have to take it in once a year to have it professionally cleaned (free), but if I need it, I can bring it in once a month. The price of the bags is the biggest draw back, IMO.
I remember about 30yrs ago I had an Oreck. That is a pretty sweet vacuum. Very lightweight and did a great job. I had a Rainbow once, that is a pain in the butt with the water and gunk.
