I wouldn't bank on it being completely accurate in regards to the number of pups--those little ones can be real wiggle worms and you just can't get them all in the same shot at the same time to insure that you aren't seeing the same one twice. As far as the size of the pups are concerned, it's a pretty good indicator and something to really take into consideration. If he thinks there are only two, then having one (or both of them) being on the larger size wouldn't be unheard of.
At least you and your vet know in advance the chances that one is large. Keep us updated. |
