I enjoyed competing in both venues. Now that I'm in nursing school I only have time and money for one venue. Luckily a lot of the friends that I made while competing in UKC are competing in AKC as well.
We have some of the top breeders in the country here on the east coast and often work together to build majors. There are times when you still have to travel quite a bit to finish a dog.
