I just learned about a non-anesthesia way to take care of their teeth and I will be trying it on Max when he's ready (he's only 6.5 months old). Go to professionalteethcleaning.com and see if it's available in your area. The company is Canine Care, Inc, 1-800-242-9966. I learned about it at a natural pet food store in my area. They said it's $100 for the first cleaning and around $20 subsequently if you do it every month or every other month for preventative maintenance. It sounds way worth it if we don't have to put them under. There's a $10 off coupon on their website. I haven't tried it myself yet but I will down the road a bit.
