Talk to some local breeders, most will be more than willing to answer all you questions. Pick you breeder first then pick a pup. This way you already know the person who is going to help shape your future babies personality and temperament. There is a lot of information on this sight about questions to ask, so that you can be more knowledgeable when you speak t breeders.
