My back yard is directly against the woods but surrounded by a 6 ft privacy fence. I'm told there are wild hogs and coyotes back there. I've never seen them but I do see deer, rabbits, armadillos, etc. I know the fence is no match against flying predators though. My dog Spike was a 10lb pom/chi and I never had a problem with anything trying to eat him thankfully.
What a nightmare for you. Too bad there isn't some kind of owl repellant or scarecrow you could use.
