I am so sorry to hear about your other 2 dogs, I know exactly how your felt. My husband and I lost our first dog as a married couple (a bull terrier-Moose) when we went on vacation also. He got away from the sitter while we were in Hawaii and was also hit by a car.
We were just devastated as you and your daughter are. It is so weird that suck a freak accident happened to someone else. I just had to respond to your post because i have such a similar story.
That was almost 2 years ago, and time has helped me heal. I got another dog just like you did, not as a replacement for Moose but as an addition to our family. He definitely filled that awful silence and emptiness. His name is Bruce, he is a bull terrier (he is in my avatar picture behind Zoe). So I hope you can begin to heal with your new puppy. I am so extremely sorry that this happened to you. |
Thank you. When you're so wrapped up in your own grief, it's hard to think that someone, ANYONE has ever experienced that type of freak loss. I'm sorry that happened to your dog too.
like someone here said to me, I'm glad you were able to love another dog again. In my case, I couldn't NOT love another dog again. I've always had pets and my world was just not right without one. I'm enjoying Brooklyn so much, I just wish my big fur babies were here to enjoy her too.
