Here in houston it's a crime - I think they only get tickets but they DO take action if someone reports it. You can always get the license plate and make a quick call and let 5-0 take care of it. They talk about it all the time on the news and are def making people more aware of kids and pets left in hot cars. There's no excuse - just lazy people. 'IF you can't take your dog in where you're going then leave them at home !
