Sydney made it, oh maybe 15 minutes in her crate that first night when she was 12-weeks-old lol. I brought her into bed with me. I tried sleeping on the floor with her first, but that wasn't very comfortable for either of us. I remember I kept checking her all night to make sure she was okay and that my bed was still dry. She did very well. Now at just over a year-old, she still sleeps with me and I still have a dry bed. I don't think there's a secret to it. Like someone else said, you just know your dog and he/she knows you (and what buttons to push for attention). If she wet the bed at any time, rubber sheets just wouldn't do. I would have kept her off the bed until she matured in the potty area. |
