I live on 3 acres in rural area (we live up on a hill, not in a neighborhorhood, one house next to us and a farmhouse a few miles up). There is 90 acres of farmland as our backyard that we don't own. 90 acres... and Jackson got out once, ran the entire field through the woods that are wayyy back there and found himself a neighborhood
I heard other dogs barking and I flipped out knowing they were barking at him. He, at this point, was not really a darter (and still isn't) but something got into him that day (he's always on a 50foot lead now and we work on recall more)... but basically I had NO idea there was even a neighborhood through that huge 90 acres of farmfield and through the woods and if I hadn't of seen him take off with my own eyes, I could have lost him forever! I can't imagine if he didn't have tags on!
