I am most likely a bad mommy. I got Kasha at 12 weeks. She's slept in her crate about 8-9 nights out of the almost 4 months we've had her. She never slept well and so we brought her into the bed (despite DBF's fear of crushing her) and I think she thinks it is her bed. She's only peed 2x (after bad reactions to shots) on the bed. She makes it 8 hours at a time and even now that we have stairs she usually wont get down till DBF or I are up. If only the rest of her potty training went so well!
Then again my best friend has a 5 month old Goldendoodle who she's had since he was 8 weeks old (i know way too early!!!) and he can't even sit on the bed without peeing. But he's slept every night in the crate.
I love Britster's suggestion about the crate on the bed. I feel like once they realize they have to hold it in order to snuggle they will do whatever it takes to make it their own. It's like a human crate.
