I agree that you should go to the vet to rule out any possibilities first.

Consider the food. I would switch to a grain free/wheat free product, my dog was really picky, and as soon as I had him fully switched he started eating (and he is only a 3lb dog) he is not heavy but he is a hyper puppy, thus he is the perfect weight for his temperment. I predict he will gain weight in the next year or so, when he settles down a bit. Personally I feed NOW! I am satisfied with it, and love it. My breeder feeds Natural Balance, which is also very similar and a wonderful brand.
