I'm not questioning whether Mel has bipolar disorder. If he says he has it, I'm inclined to believe him. What I'm saying is, those conversations cannot be explained away with a bipolar diagnosis. I mean, anything is possible, but not everything is likely, or even reasonable.
I believe that bipolar people in their manic stages do not not want to slow themselves down. That's been my personal experience and my understanding of the disorder.
