I disagree with you. As a breeder/exhibitor, no reputable breeder than I know would sell a tiny. Those breeders that do, well money is the motivating factor, no matter how you color it. Again, it's about integrity and ethics. Not attempting to fool the unsuspecting public and doing what is right for the pup.
I'm in the west coast and yes, $1,800 - $2,000 is the average price for a standard size yorkie.
