The health tests I posted showed the acronoyms that most breeders know to test for prior to breeding a pair of Yorkies. BATS are bile acid tests that are done for liver shunt. CERF is testing for the eyes to rule out several genetic eye conditions such as PRA which is Progressive Renal Atrophy. LP stands for Luxating Patella, and Xrays are taken and then sent to a reputable assessment place(such as OFA) to determine what grade of LP is existing. The grades go from 1-4 with the higher numbers indicating a more severe form of LP, which can be crippling to a dog.
