One would obtain and ROM for a dam or sire that is a member of the parent club I think, I'm sure Mary would know that answer for sure.
For a sire to obtain an ROM he has to produce 6 champions and a bitch to obtain her ROM would be to produce 4 champions. It's different for each sex.
AOM = Award of Merit is something totally different, it's just something like BOB or BOS but only given at certain shows like Tina stated. Westminster, National Specialities and some Regional Specialties will give out an AOM.
