For all we know these people wanted to try out breeding to see how much $$ (or in this case pounds) they could make, realized they wouldn't make a profit and have now decided it'll be a good idea to get their pets fixed...or maybe they use this "accident" story often?
To the OP I wish you good luck with this puppy, he is adorable and I hope that he is healthy, and you'll find a ton of useful information on here. Post pics when you bring him home! |
well i'm starting to feel like dam#ed if I do and da#&^d if i don't here...if i'm telling them how much i do not agree with their choices i get scolded, if i tell them that i don't agree but congrats anyways like EVERYONE did to the other thread then i'm going along with a bad thing....
i do not agree with buying from a petstore no matter what and i do not agree with buying from a backyard breeder or puppy mill. in my post i did say that i would never pay 300 for an "accident" by which i meant that this was prob. not the best place or way in which to find a new puppy. however i was trying to be nice and wish her luck with the new baby anyways because she does have him now and will need lots of love and advice from us. just because they aren't a reputable breeder doesn't mean they aren't trying to turn a bad situation around. lots of people have accidently puppy births and then they realize what they did and they fix their pups and it doesn't happen again. i'm impressed that this family kept the pup to 12 weeks and had it vaccinated before selling it off to someone when they couldn't keep it....it's a heck of a lot better than the other person that wanted to sell it at 6 weeks old and wouldn't allow the person to see the father and stuff.
i say good for you, you stayed away from the BYB and found someone that needed to give a puppy a good home. 300 is kinda high for an accident, but at least they kept the pup to 12 weeks and seem to be doing their best with the situation.
