I've always had them say "Awww. he is so cute!" stuff like that, things we've all heard before about our babies. Has I was driving away today I heard one of the young girls say "I think he looks like a little rat" Well, I can't believe how much this hurt my feelings! Maybe I am a little hormonal today, sure that is true but still it made me feel bad to hear this said about my Bailey. I kept saying to Bailey, "you don't look like a rat, you are a little doll" "That wasn't a nice lady Bailey" Of course Bailey doesn't know the difference, he thinks everyone loves him
Well, I heard the same comment many times from people who loves large breeds and i understand... i am never bothered by the comment. We have a Lab lover/owner in our family who is always teasing me, he adores the dogs, but he mentioned they look like rats many times, and he gets our puppies and "rub them" in his face saying he can use them as a bath sponge... hheheh... just teasing me to make me get back on him. But at the end he also adores our dogs as we love his lab 'lady' ... you just need to let it pass and respect that not every person will like dogs, or cats, or small, or large breeds... it is what makes this world very diverse ! people are different and have different likes and dislikes !
Your boy knows you do not think he looks like a rat ... the rest ... do not really matter .
XOXO
