I usually know when a dog is entering our yard-space by the babies barking up a storm. I go to the front window and watch. If they are leaving poop without picking it up I open the front door and ask them if they are going to pick it up. They usually pick it up and after that I usually see them crossing the street to avoid my yard.

If I am at the park and see someone leaving their dog poo without picking it up I will offer them one of my poop bags. They usually get mad and say no thanks and move on anyway but I think they are embarassed about leaving it. Hopefully they will think about picking it up next time.

There are people who park their cars at the park, open the door and let their big dogs out to poop. After the job is done the dog hops in the car and they leave. It makes me crazy when people won't pick up after their dogs because little toddlers and babies play in that park and I hate thought of them (or anyone) stepping in a pile of poo. If I am picking up our own poop I will sometimes pick up other poo that is close by. I wish people would be more considerate of others.
