Yep, that would get their attention. We have a neighbor who lets her dog out every morning without a leash for a few minutes, and he always comes over to our house and has a bowel movement right by our mailbox.
My husband walked over there and told the guy what was going on, and to pick it up!
I was thinking about making a sign like that, and I love dogs. (That dog's poop weighed more than Prince, but in this case, size doesn't matter.)
