That's how is it here as well. The county is in the middle of widening the road in front of our house and they will be adding a sidewalk. We had and easement of about 50 ft but that is now being taken for the "improvements". Technically the road will not be closer but there will be a sidewalk and grass that we will have to maintain.
As for the screaming woman/fool. There really is nothing she can do about you walking her dog as long as you clean up after. If she has a problem with a Yorkie pooping what would she say about a Great Dane!



Maybe you should borrow one and see.
