These are the people who have taken the time to "learn" their breed and their dog.

Sadly I lost a little girl when she was about 6mos old because of a genetic defect. Her breeder owned a pair and bred them. When I got my registry papers I found out that the parents were related. They shared the same dad. She died from an enlarged liver shunt but she suffered multiple seizures before she died. We were at the vets every week to every 2 weeks. It took a few test to rule out what could be to what was the problem. The vet was talking about surgery when she died.

Now I have learned all the questions to ask and the paperwork to make them show me.
I'm sorry for your loss. Stories like yours just exemplify why breeding should only be undertaken by those who really know what they are doing. No reputable breeder would have ever done something so reprehensible. It causes too much pain, both for the pups and the people who bring them in to their lives with the intention of loving them for years and years.
