To the OP--the question you asked are very elementary ones in regards to the breeding process as a whole. That is what gave the impression that you have not researched. Unfortunately for you, this site is full of people who look out for the best interest of the DOGS first, and your feelings second. You will get a wide variety of answers and opinions when you ask almost any question. You need to either be prepared for answers from all ends of the spectrum, or refrain from asking the question altogether.
I find it ironic that you came on here, a week from your girl's whelp date asking very basic questions, yet those who answered are the ones being abusive.
