I don't see anywhere that the OP was 'jumped' on. Maybe you could point it out. Actually, I saw many people thanking the OP for rescuing this little one from going to the pound.

That being said, this is a very high risk pregnancy that would be a challenge for experienced breeders, let alone a novice like the OP. Even if this baby can somehow deliver the pups, there is still much to be done in caring for them. It is a big commitment of time, money and dedication for at least 3 months.....which the OP hasn't indicated she has to give. Also, I think her vet is not recognizing the inherent risks with such a pregnancy, and that worries me, too.

I have never before recommended rescue to anyone, but I think in this case it is the best advice to give the OP. I think anyone offering advice would be negligent in not suggesting rescue, given all the specifics of this case. IMO, it's the only responsible advice to give. Remember, this is not her dog, but one that she has just taken in. It is a huge responsibility to just step in to. If she were the owner of this dog and had a skilled small breed vet working with her, I might offer different advice but you have to look at the total picture here.

Are some of you advising a non-breeder to take on the risks and responsibility of seeing a 3 pound Yorkie through a pregnancy and caring for these very tiny pups with little preparation? I certainly hope not.
