and i do want to add to the OP. i know that i'm harsh and opinionated, but i never did say that i do wish you the best of luck with that little one. you have him and he really needs you now. it totally is a catch 22. it was like that with a shelter that i was trying to foster for. they PAY puppy mills to get the puppies out of there before something even worse happens to them. they have great intentions of saving those poor babies...but i quit helping them when i found out about this. no money should really ever be given to a puppy mill. EVER. it's so hard to turn away from saving all the babies everywhere that need rescued from a mill. there are a lot of them and the ones that find good homes are really lucky and blessed, but if we all go around buying from pet stores and mills in order to rescue one more baby from a bad home or life what are we doing but becoming just another buyer on their long waiting list of customers? it hard to say no...i didn't say no to Sadie and she's my WHOLE world, but it's not something i'd do again because now that i get it, i don't feel right about one penny of my money or a second of my time going to the puppy mills or pet stores. i won't buy from theri stores and i won't walk into them. i won't help a shelter that pays to get pups from a mill. it's not right and it's not going to stop this problem.

good luck with your baby. give him the best home he ever had. i hope he is well and has no health issues and lives a long and healthy life. please don't think i'm mean because i don't agree with your choice. i do want a good home for him and i'm glad you are giving him one, i just personally don't agree that petland has your hard earned money now...that's pretty much all.
