I first of all want to wish you luck whatever you decide to do and I think everyone will help you with the best of their ability whatever you decide. Everyone is passionate about Yorkies here so if anyone does come across real strong please try to remember that and not hold it against them. You are in a tough situation here. While it can be exciting to think about having puppies - and it really can be - the reality is that it is also A LOT of work and can also be VERY expensive. I just would encourage you to really think things thru thoroughly and make sure that you are not only prepared for the expense but also the amount of work a litter of puppies can entail. One breeder recently lost her mom and had to hand raise her entire litter. That means feeding them every 2 hours for the first 3 weeks at least. Are you at home and able to do that if this were to happen to you?
I personally feel uncomfortable aborting a litter myself. It just goes against what I believe personally so I can understand how you feel but just want to make sure you have thought everything thru in fairness to the mom and puppies.
