When I went to meet Piper I had worked Saturday and Sunday nights 12 hours. Monday morning I slept an hour and a half. I got up, showered, dressed the kids, then drove an hour and twenty minutes to pick her up. I was nervous the entire time. I wasn't 100% I was doing the right thing by getting a puppy.
I met her mama half way between our houses due to my work schedule and apparently she got car sick. She was covered in vomit.

I forgot her carrier that morning but I had a cloth shopping bag in the car. SO, I put her little body in the bag with her head sticking out and held her in my lap for the drive home.
I got her home and gave her a bath. I dried her off and my husband told me she looked like a drowned rat!! I brushed her out and she jumped down to investigate the kids. She was so happy and soft and fluffy after her bath! She curled up with me and fell asleep. I knew I was in love when I had to leave her for a few hours....I could think of nothing but Piper the entire time we were gone!
