You have to think about who is going to watch your dogs while you are at the funeral. If MGT doesnt know they are there, then you have no recourse if house keeping or maint. comes in and steals your dog!
The workers will know it is against rules for you to have the dog there and there would never be proof of who entered your room.
I say take the advice of others and try to find a hotel that is dog friendly
