My mom's jack russell just ripped one of her dew claws. We have washed,bandaged it. We plan on taking her to vet first thing in the morning. My question is how much bleeding is normal. To me it seems like she is bleeding a lot. But what is considered alot? We are in a rural area and are about 1 hour from emergency vet. I heard that the dew claws have a lot of blood vessels so it can bleed profusely Is this the case?
