There is a great hotel at Islamorada. We use to visit there all the time when we lived in WPB. They have a salt water swimming pool. It's a great place to fish - deep water. You can rent a boat and the captain takes you out to fish with all the equipment.

The roofs of the older houses in Key West are built the design they are to catch rain water. My dad is pretty strict when it comes to using the water at his home down there. You have to get wet, then turn off the shower and soap up and then turn the water back on to rinse off and do it quick. I feel like the timer is running and do not want to be got with soap still on and no more water. LOL But it is a serious business. They are getting all new water pipes and sewer system down there. So if you see construction going on that is what it is. |
