My Ozzie had surgery at UT in January for liver shunt and he is doing wonderful now. I live in Maryland so it was a long drive but for everything including neutering and pulling of baby teeth it was under $1800. You don't need a CT scan. They do about 10 of these surgeries a week there and they were wonderful. I can't say enough about them. Ozzie has gained over 3 pounds since his surgery and is like a different dog. Also there is a wonderful liver shunt support group that helps so much. They know more about liver shunts than most vets.
