Last night I had a huge scare . . .I took the furbutts out for a quick walk in the front of my house . .we live on a corner so I took them down to the stop sign and back . . .no more than a quick 6-7 minute outside potty break. Thing is . . Rhianna puts all her effort into putting on her harness and literally bunny hopping the entire time . . .she loves being outside and she really overexerted herself . . .We went back in and she was panting up a storm . . .I tried to give her water to cool her down . . .it was around 85 out and not too oppressive . . but the heat really affected her . . .we have central a/c so I took her into my bedroom and onto the bed to try to get her to cool off . . .nothing worked . . she started to seize . . .

I literally was trying to keep calm . . .I yelled for hubby to get the car ready with the a/c and that we were going to the vet . . . by the time we got there, the seizure had stopped. The vet took some bloodwork and she said that her levels were fine. Her temp was a bit elevated ... and she was slightly dehydrated . .the vet thought that she seized because of the stress that was put on her when we went for a walk along with the temps . . .the vet advised me just to keep her in the a/c and to only go potty briefly in and out.
I just wanted to put this out there because I almost lost my girl because of my stupidity. I never thought a quick walk would be so devastating . . So please learn from my mistake . . .I feel like such a bad mom . . .
