ps - I have a small pet boutique that does occasionally have one or 2 puppies - they're happy and always clean and well cared for - I became friends with the girl who works there when I asked her where they get their puppies and told her flat out - please don't tell me local breeders cause I know ALL about puppy mills - Well - to my surprise she did too and right away we hit it off - they DO buy from local breeders which is why they hardly ever have any pets for sale and the really good thing was.....SHE HAD WORKED FOR PETHELL and quit because she found out they DO buy from mills and couldn't work for a company that did this.
she said she wouldn't be working where she is now if this little place bought from mills and stated for a fact that they do buy local only and the minute she hears they ever buy a puppy mill dog - she's outta there and I believed her and told her I was very impressed with how much she knew and stood by her morals.

Most all pet stores buy from mills but there are a few that will NOT do business with them. I don't agree with breeders selling to pet stores but it's a reality - the only good thing I can say is every time I go there if they do have puppies or kitties - they are the happiest little things and never there but for a few days at a time.

Most of the time I never see any pets there......it's a rare occasion they have them so I do go there for my pet food

if they supported mills I wouldn't step foot in the place
