Also just wanted to mention that there are these shirts/wraps for dog anxiety. I bought the Thundershirt | The Best Solution for Dog Anxiety for Morgan because she's scared of thunderstorms, fire crackers, loud noises, etc... She's doing really well with it. Every friday night the nearby college has a baseball game in the spring/summer and they set off fire works afterwards. The past few fridays i didn't have to put the shirt on her. She was aware of the fire works and came to lay down next to me but she didn't shake or pant (which she usually does). so we're making progress.
I saw those shirts while searching through eBay a few weeks ago. The funny thing is that my baby is completely fine with thunderstorms and fireworks. We're having a lot of thunderstorms right now and she sleeps right through them. Usually if it's a loud clap of thunder she'll wake up and immediately go back to sleep. Same thing with fireworks. They set off fireworks practically every other night over here. The only thing that really gets her nervous is the airplane and really really long car trips. When my family and I traveled to Southern California (a 5 hour car ride) during the early morning, she did fine. But on the way back she wouldn't sit still. I really hope the Benadryl does help to settle her down a bit. I'm going to try increasing the dosage slowly to see what works or her. Thank you again for your help.
