It's been just over a week with DInky, and things are getting better. I've been exhausted because I got the 3 am wakeups, the waiting forever to go when taken outside, then just going in crate. We tried and stopped the pee pads. It really just takes time and the consistency I keep reading about. I think one issue about training is that they don't go number 2 very often, so it's difficult to catch them doing it right or wrong. Yesterday we had a bad start to the day and a good finish. He's got the number 1 thing down pretty well.
First he was afraid of outside, now all he wants to do is play. He's still avoiding my hubby unless a treat is involved. He does make progress, but it doesn't always feel that way. But I'm hanging in there! |
