I cannot seem to stay off the forum as you all understand. My Vet did do every test under the book...blood work was not that bad the first day is what I do not understand?....fecals, smears, sonograms , xrays showed nothing. I feel in my heart I saw it when it happend and just went down hill from there and the SEVERE VOMITING STARTED......WITH THE HORRIBLE CRYING IT WILL HAUNT ME FOREVER!....
Is is poss she ruptured something?....and the sonogram, and xray did not show this?
I was a Vet Tech myself for 4 years...and just never saw anything like this....as she was not even stable enough to do very much of anything as far as a surgery to look..as the Vet said they had to get her stable and they could not do...and my Vet is the best.
I had to post for you about my experience on a similar situation. I am so sorry this happened to you.
When i first read i immediately though of uterine rupture.
I had it happen to one of my females years ago... she was expecting 5 pups, second pregnancy, free whelped first time... this particular time 4 out, and she started whining, vomiting and stumbling around... took her to the vets, did every possible test too... decided was time for an open surgery right there ... with my story the end was happy, even the 5th puppy removed by c=section made, but if i had not called for a c-section i am confident i would have lost her and the last pup ... found out she had 2 different ruptures on her uterus and got her spayed right there. I had my share of many c-sections... so many times... but if my "guts" are telling me to do so i call for a C-section.
I hope this brings some light to you .
Hope you are already better from the whole episode.
XOXO
