Here's what we did with Lucy. She was bile acid tested as a puppy and came back with numbers above normal - but not high numbers either. I scaled back the protein; she had been eating a high protein diet of TOTW. We also cut down on protein treats and started giving treats such as cheerios, apple, etc.

Then we re-tested in 30 days. Her numbers were much lower the second time around; enough for the vet to say she has mild MVD and no treatment necessary at this time . . unless she starts to show symptoms.

Right now, she is eating NB Vegetarian . . but she is almost one year old. Our Vet really did not want too much protein restriction as a small puppy.

I would talk to my Vet and see what they recommend. Good luck and don't panic!
