st night we had some friends over. Daisy had been in her bed all day except to ask for the door and to eat. I would lay next to her on the floor every now and then but she really wanted to be left alone.
We had our company and they were leaving and someone went out the back door and Daisy bolted out the door. We live near a main road and Daisy is a runner. Well I don't know where all the energy came from but she was running around the yard and we were all trying to catch her. Her leg didn't even seem to bother her and then it happened she bolted for the road and it was dark out I said oh God no!!!! My brother in law and my friends boyfriend ran out in busy traffic and stopped the cars just in time.
Daisy ALMOST got hit by a car
My heart stopped! I was so thankful for two reasons that she was feeling up to running around and that she did not get hit.
Daisy has not pulled an escape act like that in about 8 months. We always have her on a leash but when she was a pup she use to escape bc of teenagers in and out of the house.
After everyone left she acted like she was so proud of herself
She asked for the door about 10 min later and pooped 3 times and they were healthy not loose.
I think she is feeling better and maybe the meds and the diet are kicking in.
Everyone keep praying bc she needs a miracle and Gods angels around her
this morning she is a little tired but I am sure that 15 min run was enough to tire her out. I can remember when she was a puppy my son came home from being out and Daisy got lose at 12:00 am he took a chair and sat in the front yard with a flash light. (we lived in a neighborhood) Woke me up at 2:00 am Mom Daisy is lose I was like when did she get lose he replied 2 hrs ago...............Well to shorten it up we are all running around the neighborhood at 2:00 am calling with flash lights and all of a sudden a wet puppy came and sat infront of me.
I said to my dh she smells like tires........lol no it was a SKUNK she got sprayed smack dab in the face and up her nose.
OMG the whole house stunk and we tried everything to get rid of that smell finally in the morning we took her to the groomers and they got rid of most of it. Except her kisses smelled like skunk for 3 months
