Tiny Yorkies - Breeding & Discipline

I'm amazed at how many threads I've read lately where people have stated that they breed a tiny female Yorkie under 5 lbs. I have a new baby girl who is going to be tiny like my last princess was -- around 2-3 lbs full grown. I don't understand how someone could breed such a tiny helpless little girl and logically, morally and honestly think it's safe and OK to do. I know we have some threads about breeding tinies going right now but I just had to mention it again because I feel it's an important subject and worth repeating.

I've also read some threads where people say that they hit their Yorkie hard because they may have some potty training or other behavorial issues -- even some people whose Yorkie is only 2 or 3 months old! I'm totally baffled at this. I can't even IMAGINE hitting my new little girl who is currently 3 months and 2 weeks old. OBVIOUSLY they are not going to be potty trained until they're much older. Would you expect a 3 month old human baby to be fully potty trained? Of course not! So why have unrealistic expectations for a tiny fragile Yorkie? It just really breaks my heart when I read about these little ones getting spanked hard. Their bones are so fragile. I bet it must break their little hearts because their main goal is life is to please US, their masters. And then we go and repay them by spanking them -- just terrible.

Sorry to ramble but this is a subject that I'm very passionate about. Now let's all go home and KISS our babies for hours!
