Yeah, my little guy also does not like big dogs, and that is not good but I dont really have enough consistent training opportunities to do anything about it. Usually a big dog owner will just smile and walk away. Who wants to say "hello" to a spazy barking Yorkie?
With respect to your wasp spray comment, I would never consider such a thing. You should NOT use a product like a poison in any manner that is inconsistent with the products warning labels. Have you considered what would happen if that spray got in a persons (or neighbor's dog's) eyes. Read the Material Safety Data Sheet. Better yet, get some pepper spray or dog repellent if you think you really need it.
