I won't go in to an off label prescription debate here (re the flagyl). Suffice to say that there is probably at least 1 medication in your own cabinet that has been prescribed off label. It's very, very common.
Dwerten, not all meds are metabolized by the liver. Many are broken down by the kidneys.

so not all drugs affect the liver as thought everything gets processed through the liver? I thought that is why liver shunt is such a problem as things are bypassing the liver thus creating toxins in the body to build up?
so rhetts mama don't you think dogs with underlying liver disease should be treated with caution on giving any medication and why they warn about this in humans as well as dogs?
