Remember, Pedigrees are a breeder's preception. All pups are born black with tan markings (well almost all). When a breeder registers a litter, they usually register the litter as Blue & Gold....a few will register a litter as black and tan, based on what they look like at birth. Also, what contributes most to pups genetic make-up is what is in the first 3 generations of a pedigree. That is unless you see a dog that appears frequently within a pedigree. That dog has the ability to contribute to the pups genetic make-up.
