Thanks for support and advice. We've gone back to basics too since he was not trained well. We've blocked off the kitchen and are retraining him to the crate. I was stressed from trying to keep him from peeing on my carpeting, which he did sort of mindlessly. So I'm more relaxed. He really can't concentrate on anything besides wanting to be with me. So we are working on calming him down. He is stressed from losing his mom, litter mate etc. He is in his crate right now, has peed on his pad...hurrah. We've decided to go just with pee pad for now. He's just starting to like the outdoors and I am going to work on walking out there. It's actually quite a walk from our kitchen, through the garage to the designated area, so he's pretty much forgotten anything that happened by the time we get him there. It feels good to blather on about him.
He is adorable by the way! I'll post his pic here once I figure out how to do it.
