I'm just curious as to how many other "breeders" on here have 7 or more litters a year and don't show their dogs because they can't afford to??

I guess I don't know what you are asking or where that question came from. BJH shows her dogs if that's what you are referring to.
A breeder, even a "show breeder", can have a litter every 2 years or 10 litters a year, depending on how many dogs they have, how hard they are working on their lines, etc. There is no "magic number" for number of litters per year. As long as there is a healthy spacing between litters and the bitches are all being well cared for and loved, sheer number of litters means nothing to me.
My favorite breeder has about 15 adults at any given time - multiple champions, Eukanuba and Westminster wins, always has a dog in the top 10 in the nation, etc. All of her dogs are very well cared for, and loved unconditionally. She has a litter about every 2 months but always has a waiting list for show puppies and a list for pet puppies that continues to grow because she doesn't end up with pet puppies very often.
